My name is Le’aa.C.Bailey, I am mixed race - my Mum is Jamaican and my Pops is Scottish. I have frizzy, wavey 2C type hair with a low density, which means it is very thin, but looks like a main of hair. Growing up, I loved my hair, my mum and older sister was always doing cute styles on me. My auntie Caroline use to call me her little dolly-Doing my hair to match hers. Everyday was “hair day” I couldn’t wait to learn to do my own hair.
As a teenager, me and my sisters use to do 2 canerow’s for the neighbour’s children- that’s when “The doorstep salon” was born!
We started doing canerow styles for our friends & locals. Once my big
sister Le’an taught me how to ‘finger wave’
- THAT WAS THE GAME CHANGER!!
Moving to Basingstoke from South London was a big culture adjustment for my children, especially my daughters who have a 3C and 4A mid to high density hair type. After many years of travelling back to south to get my children’s hair cut i knew it was time.
I wanted a hair parlour that represented me - "lil Le’aa from Brixton" - that highlighted my talents & skills, a parlour that reflected “The doorstep salon”, AND.. HAIR I AM!
Hair! She is styles & cares for all hair types, but our specialty is curly/kinky/coily hair/Mixed hair. 2A to 4C type hair. We love helping our curly hair owners understand & love their hair.
